useless info

Politics, gas prices, economy, stock market.... most days I take a deep breath before I turn on the news. So, in effort to lighten up things, I wanted to post my first Monday edition of random facts and ponderings...
Ten random facts:

  1. No word in the English language rhymes with month, orange, silver or purple.
  2. In a speech made in 1961, John F. Kennedy was recorded as speaking at 327 words per minute, the fastest in public history.
  3. You have to pay a tax in Denmark to use the back seat of your car for passengers.
  4. There is a city in Norway called "Hell.
  5. Every time Beethoven sat down to write music, he poured ice water over his head.
  6. Giraffes only sleep for 5 minutes a day.
  7. Mark Twain didn't graduate from elementary school.
  8. Your nose and ears never stop growing.

Ok, I believe the nose and ears thing, cuz I've noticed older men have mongo ears and noses.
