Random Tuesday Thoughts - lots of B's

I haven't RTT'd in a while, so here's my two cents....
  • My 3yo runs around the house talking about BALLS all the time lately. He's not talking about his boy parts, but with my 10yo being a 10yo - there's alot of "ball" banter lately. And giggles. And it's fine - I have boys, and no matter how bad I like to BELIEVE I'm raising them to be a WEE bit modest, they're going to LAUGH every time they hear the word balls, boys just do that.

  • My BAKING sucks monkey toes. I tried this recipe and also tried making an "easy" cobbler with some pantry items that I needed to use.... NEITHER turned out. I was quite BUMMED. My mom, a seasoned baker(ha SEASONED BAKER), says I needed to use more flour (maybe add wheat flour for density) to the first recipe... BLUGH. I hated throwing away those creations.

  • Our BACKYARD has become the source of summer fun for our BOYS and I'm so grateful for that simplicity. With the hubs being laid off recently (BOO) it's been a huge change in routine around here, this has been a welcomed daily outlet for us all. Hubs and I get to go outside with the kiddo's and just unwind. It's also been a fun place for our n'bors kids!!

  • I've found myself ignoring my BLACKBERRY alot. I don't answer the phone when it rings lately... unless it's family or work. Random rebellion I suppose, or maybe it's this.

  • One of my BEST friends just found out she does NOT have cancer!!!! Woohooooo!! Happy Dance!!!

  • Summer BREAK is 1/2 way over for my oldest, he's starting to realize this, and every day he asks me another question about his upcoming grade in school. Eager beaver. Wonder how long that'll last??

  • That's about all I have for randomness, except maybe that I am watching Will & Grace right now.... re-runs have become my vice. Every night at 11 and 1130 I watch Will & Grace... if I'm working I have it on in the background and yes - it distracts me for that hour.

Visit Keely at The UnMom for more bits of randomness....

Boys will be boys I suppose.. :D I imagine my son will be like that too in a couple more years.. :)

I can't bake squat too.. Which is why I stick to making mug cakes.. it's a version of moist chocolate cake but in a mug and cooked in a microwave for 3 minutes.. :D

yay to your friend NOT having cancer! :D

I often forget where my phone is. My hubby thinks I shouldn't even have one since I don't use it anyway.. :P

Happy Tuesday! :)

My daughter was running around the house this morning talking about "shaking her peanuts". I have no idea what she was talking about, but I hope she is not anatomically confused.

I hate when baking doesn't come out well. Such a disappointment. I say go get some ice cream to console yourself.

Our youngest is the only boy with 3 sisters. He thinks burping is hysterical and he didn't learn that from his sisters. I think boys are boys no matter what. That phone story made me sad. Glad your friend doesn't have cancer.

I'm guessing you didn't do so well with your organic blueberries :(

Happy RTT!

Jake ran up to me with a toy worm today while I was tickling Josh and screamed, "Hey, mom! Tickle my worm". EWWWWWWWW

Ahhh, boys. LG got a toy duck over the weekend, but can only really say "uck" right now. Which can be misconstrued. And makes my husband laugh considerably.

No cancer is definately good news. Chocolate ice cream all around, bar keep!

Okay, so even your Ball Banter got a chuckle out of it I must admit. Everytime we go the grocery store my 18 month old daughter sees the bin of balls and Yells "Big Balls! Big Balls!" And I'm like "sheesh, lady! Keep it down, would you?!" while LMAO inside!

Love those Will & Grace reruns too!

Boy stuff is funny. It also makes me cringe a little. I can't believe I'm going to have two of them.

I hate it when baking doesn't turn out...only I'm a moron and I can't throw it away. I still have some zucchini bread in my freezer from last year that was NASTY ... but I keep thinking how horrible to throw it away.

Sad thing is boys grow to be men and yet their brains stay in the same silly state.. well, that and their toys get bigger..

i work at a jail, and we are full of inappropriate banter!

any word or phrase that can be made into a sexual reference in any way is fair game;)

i totally giggled at "balls".

i guess boys of all ages run around talking about their balls nonstop :)

my baking sucks too. i completely ruined a batch of brownies the other day. you know, the kind where the mix comes in a box and it's impossible to screw up. yeah, that kind. half burned to a crisp. half soupy and raw.

My hubby still gets a kick out of balls being referenced in any conversation...ooops! I suppose I shouldn't have used the word 'kick' in that sentence... ;)

I've been ignoring my phone a lot lately, too... I decided to pick it up today when my sister called - 2-1/2 hours later I was wishing I had ignored it at that particular time. ;)

WooHoo about your friend finding out she does NOT have cancer! Definitely do a happy dance! :)

Happy RTT! :)
