Random Tuesday Thoughts - sleep deprived

Head over to The UnMom to see more random Tuesday!
  • I titled this random Tues thought "sleep deprived" because I am... I think I got more sleep when my youngest was a newborn! It's been crazy around here sick after sick after sick in my house... we're so tired of sick!! I've not been sick, but I'm tired.

  • Went to get our taxes done today, we drove 1 hour to a highly recommended accountant who is spectacular with self-employeed tax filing... and we were there for THREE HOURS!! No, our finances aren't that big of a deal, the appt was for 1030am, and we were there about 30 min early, but weren't seen until almost 1215. The toddler was amazing... husband and I got impatient.

  • My face is broke out like a 12 yo boy. I'm guessing that getting 2 hours of sleep per night on average for about 1 week (sickness - see above) has not worked well for me. It's proof that I'm no longer the young person I used to be. Back in the day, I could go for days w/o proper sleep and I swear it didn't affect me at all!

  • I watched the same lifetime Nora Roberts movie 3 x's this week, and I don't feel guilty at all. I didn't actually get to "watch" it un-interrupted each time, I was working some, and nursing the sick some... but either way, the 10pm showings were on my TV.

  • What's with Time Warner Cable thinking about dropping ABC??? We're calling Direct TV today.

  • Im making chicken and rice for dinner.

  • I bought myself something frivilous, and that's not like me... but I invested in some decent makeup... right about the same time it arrived, my face broke out. So - go figure, I can't even try out my new makeup yet!! I'm pretty bitter about the acne, I've never really had it.

  • I can't believe it's 4pm and my kid's still asleep. I'm going to wake him up when I publish this post.

  • I hope that rash on the toddler is gone when he wakes, or it'll be a FOURTH visit to the doctor in 3 weeks. And I'm NOT one of those parents who takes my kid(s) when they get the sniffles... this poor little fellow has had it rough!! See THIS photo, that was when it ALL started! He's been one really fortunate boy in his 3 years, only had antibiotics now 4 times... but wow, he's been through the ringer this go of it!

  • I'm going to go eat a piece of Dove chocolate... I bet that'll do wonders for my face!!!! HA!

Lack of sleep causes breakouts? The chocolate might not help your face but it'll help your state of mind! :)

stoppin by from un moms RTT to say hi and read some randomness...sure the rash is gone from the toddler...thats no fun!

what kind of make up did you get

yeah for me a lack of sleep comes along with overall yuckies, not eating right, over doing it with caffiene, added stress, etc., all of that combined affects the skin.

georgie - the makeup I treated myself too is smashbox - I had some super great deals on buying it and got lots of goodies to try out with it! I'm excited. I rarely buy myself the "good stuff"... so I feel like I deserve a little treat!

Smashbox makeup! Okay so I won't even pretend I know what that is so I better just look it up!

Hope your face clears up and toddlers rash is gone!

First time on your site--I likey! RTT!

The rash seems to be gone... looks as if it was contact dermatitis, which he's had 2 or 3 times prior. Back to Dreft... :-(

Put me as your referral for Directv, I'll split the $50 with ya ;)

sweet.. but you know we'll just end up spending it on countless Chic Fil A breakfasts when we hang out. HA....

seriously, I'll do it.

Ugh, lack of sleep does it to me now too. I used to run on 4 hours and still be dewy and fresh. Sigh.

Hope everyone feels better soon!

Wash your face with anti-bacterial hand soap. Yes, it really helps with breakouts. Kills the stupid little bacterial buggers that cause zits...
